If you go downtown, and you take a turn onto a little street called Peck Slip heading toward the water, you might find yourself at a little restaurant called SUteiShi. The theme here is “dining fine” and you will most definitely “dine fine” at this unique Japanese secret. Despite some of the most beautiful views in Manhattan right outside the door, you will be amazed to find yourself drawn inward to the traditional yet contemporary décor of SUteiShi’s dining room. The trendy, sleek tables and interior give you the feeling that only a New York City restaurant can. But the surprise comes in the form of food, where each choice on the menu is better than the one before.
Visit SUteiShi to eat, relax and enjoy the taste of Japan in the heart of New York City.
Fried Oysters with Mustard Vinaigrette
Mermaid Roll—Seared yellowtail and scallions with wasabi tobiko on top
Pacific Jewel Roll—Smoked salmon and avocado with black tobiko on top
Tiger Shrimp with Radish Dipping Sauce—Cooked on hot rocks in the manner that Japanese sailors once used; served with a bowl of sushi rice
Chilean Sea Bass with Mushroom Cream Sauce—Served with a bowl of white rice
Hot and Crispy Shrimp with Spicy Mayonnaise
They don't have uni and tried to use toro replace uni without any refund. That's just ridiculous.

Cost is a little more than your typical sushi restaurant, but their food is on point and always fresh. Never a disappointment from them.

Fast delivery, but the sushi is pretty (very) bland and delivered warm. The specialty rolls are a little better, but definitely not anything 'special'. Save your money and get sushi at Duane Reade, it'll taste the same for 1/2 the price.

I was quite disappointed when I got the portion. I use to go and order to stay and always been happy with what I got in my plate but this time I wanted to try their delivery. I expected the same kind of presentation .
All was very fresh though as usual.
Will keep going to their restaurant .

Consistently great sush and perfect service.

We decided to try Suteishi when they re-opened after Hurricane Sandy. Fish is fresh, cooked food is great, and delivery is relatively quick and always within the time window given. It is a bit pricy, but so is every sushi restaurant downtown!

Really good quality sushi and always arrives before estimated time.

Best sushi in Fidi, Seaport area, hands down. I've tried just about every other option. Every other japanese/sushi restaurant you research has some kind of jaded past on the health department's website, and lots of questionable reviews on Seamless. Sushi's not something I usually like to take a chance on. This one is legit. Always fresh. I mean always! If you check on their website, they have a larger selection than what they post here on Seamless.

So after ordering here it is not worth the price.

Delivery man called me to come down to lobby of my building about five minutes before he arrived. I had to stand around and wait five minutes for him. If this was the meaning of delivery I would have picked up the food myself. Food was ehhhh.

So far my favorite sushi takeout restaurant. Excellent but pricey - you get what you pay for.

i ordered three rolls: samurai, spicy tuna, and something else. all three rolls had some cheap crunchy filler mixed with the fish. i have never had spicy tuna with crunchies in it before. it wasn't even listed as an ingredient, and if it were, i wouldn't have ordered them. all three rolls ended up tasting like nothing but crunchies!

Love this place. Best downtown. Can't wait till the restaurant is open again!

Suteishi is amazing! Is my favorite Sushi restaurant in NYC. Freshness is the key. I know that even if I pay a little bit more I'm going to have what I ask for, very good quality and not another type of fish like other cheap sushi restaurants. Can wait for you guys to open the restaurant again!

The best sushi in the Financial District. They're coming back from Hurricane Sandy, but honestly, you couldn't tell. The sushi is absolutely amazing. Highly recommend the salmon toro - it melts in your mouth. Also, the angel roll is delicious, too!

Best sushi in Manhattan! I've loved them since we moved to the Financial District two years ago and am thrilled that they are open for delivery after Sandy. Hopefully their physical location on Peck Slip will open soon, too! I highly recommend the bellylicious rolls, especially the Under the Sea roll and the Kimono roll. So glad to have you in the neighborhood!

Suteishi is the best place to order sushi in this area. It is definitely worth the price. My orders have always been fresh and of high quality. The staff are very nice, helpful, and always prompt with delivery. My orders are always delivered accurately and with care. I will definitely continue to order from Suteishi!

SuteiShi is my favorite sushi in the Financial District. The Kani Salad is amazing. So glad they are delivering again!

Welcome back, dear friends at SUteiShi. We missed you while you we're recovering from Sandy. The neighborhood was not the same without the best sushi in town.
Posted 2 years ago by TC F.
Suteishi has always been our only sushi choice in the FiDi area. We would eat their once a week in the summer time next to the large open garage doors with a stunning view of the Brooklyn Bridge. When Hurricane Sandy devastated the restaurant we were so sad to see it go. An Indie-GoGo campaign later and they are up and running for delivery and the food is better than ever. We cannot wait until this place reopens in the warmer weather.

Pricey, but completely worth it. I don't understand how some of these other sushi places have 5-star ratings on Seamless, but couldn't compete with the quality that SUteiShi offers. We had several rolls that were excellent, as well as a shockingly delicious miso soup, and it was delivered quickly. You won't be disappointed!

The best sushi in Lower Manhattan for sure! So glad you are on Seamless while rebuilding from the hurricane. Suteishi Pearl Roll is my favorite!!!

The best. And sticking with the seaport after the storm! Can't wait for you to be back but the delivery is awesome.

Worst seamless experience ever. Food comes in tiny portion with average quality. Very very over priced. Will never order from them again
Posted 3 years ago by Charles S.
The freshest sushi in the neighborhood, although it is very expensive. The "under the sea" roll is great, as is the sashimi.
Can't go wrong with the kani salad or edamame either.
The miso eggplant is a bit greasy and the spicy tofu stew was not a stew at all, so stick with the sushi!

FRESH AND DELISH! Best sushi restaurant in the Financial District, hands down! Innovative and creative rolls and always fresh, delicious fish. Lovely staff and decor as well!

Great neighborhood spot. The sushi is always extremely fresh and delicious. Best in the area in my opinion.

SUteiShi is my go-to place for sushi... love it!
Posted 3 years ago by Heather G.
Quick and well packaged. They are a bit on the expensive side but I think the quality is there. Like the creativity on the rolls too...but a bit steep for slight variations of tuna or eel rolls. Other than the rolls the sushi was fresh and the presentation was clean.

Best quality sushi downtown by far. A little pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for.
Posted 4 years ago by Spencer W.
Very disappointing. My wife and I go in and eat here fairly frequently and think its quite good. Delivery however, was a very different story. The same items we get in the restaurant were significantly smaller and lacked the sauces they usually came with. The wasabi was old and crumbly. Basically, ordering out is like ordering from a different restaurant which is not nearly as good. Well, except the prices were the same. Felt like a very expensive appetizer.

too expensive and very little amount. Really not worth it.
quality is poor.

The rolls are always good but the Udon Soup is not so worth $12.00!

Food was cold and nasty. Way too expensive for the garbage they delivered. Never ever again.

Best sushi I've had.
Posted 5 years ago by Jonathan R.
Not good...the presentation was nice, but the food was not good and WAY overpriced...I got the spider roll and there was some dried up gray "crab" stuffed in with the normal crab...it left a really fishy "fart" taste and was WAY overpriced for what I got...the $18 teriyaki chicken was super small and bland...the sakitini was ok, but got really really strong about halfway in...i will never come here again

Food is great & fairly consistent. Delivery is relatively quick. Rolls can be a bit pricey & the order can add up quick.

Tasty Fresh but Stingy portions with high price tag. No Chopsticks or napkins make eating difficult- make sure you put that in as your special request.
